Product Description:
Brown corundum is produced using bauxite and coke (anthracite) as the main raw materials, smelted at high temperatures in an arc furnace. Abrasive blasting offers fast grinding, high efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and good results. This product exhibits moderate hardness, high toughness, self-sharpening ability, low sand consumption, and can be recycled and reused. With stable chemical composition, it is wear-resistant and can withstand acid and alkali. The abrasive particles have a conchoidal structure with sharp edges and corners, enabling the formation of new cutting edges during continuous grinding, resulting in superior grinding performance compared to other abrasives.
Brown corundum is composed of high-quality bauxite, anthracite, and iron filings. It undergoes arc smelting at temperatures of 2000°C or above. After crushing and self-grinding, it is magnetically separated to remove iron, then sieved into various sizes. The resulting product has a dense, hard texture with high spherical pellets, making it suitable for ceramic production, high-resistance abrasive resin, as well as for grinding, polishing, sandblasting, precision casting, and high-grade refractory manufacturing.
Brown corundum abrasive boasts high purity, good crystallization, strong fluidity, low coefficient of linear expansion, and corrosion resistance. Numerous fire-proof production companies have confirmed that this product exhibits no explosions, chalkings, or cracks during usage. Particularly, it offers better cost-effectiveness than traditional brown corundum, establishing it as the top aggregate and filler for fused alumina refractories.
Features:
Less Dust
Brown corundum is preferred for sandblasting surface treatment due to its high density, resulting in reduced dust during the sandblasting process. This not only enhances operator health and safety but also improves visibility for the operator.
High Efficiency
When subject to a particular pressure, brown corundum rapidly impacts the object's surface with numerous sharp edges, making it a highly efficient spray grinding method. Acceleration and velocity of particles in the airflow are influenced by inertance and particle size. Smaller particles are easier to accelerate, generating a higher impact force on the object's surface and leading to a significantly faster cleaning rate, often twice as fast as other conventional abrasives.
Low Depletion
The distinctive particle size of brown corundum ensures that more effective particles hit the object's surface, thereby reducing the abrasives loss significantly when using brown corundum.
