Product Description:
Brown corundum is produced using bauxite and coke (anthracite) as the primary raw materials, which are melted at high temperatures in an arc furnace. Abrasive blasting is known for its short grinding time, high efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and low price. The product exhibits moderate hardness, high toughness, good self-sharpening ability, low sand consumption, recyclability, and a fine grinding finish. It boasts a stable chemical composition, wear resistance, and resilience to acids and alkalis. The abrasive material features a conchoidal structure with sharp edges and corners that can continually form new edges, surpassing other abrasives in grinding performance. Notably, its high hardness, specific gravity, chemical stability, and unique self-sharpening quality make it an ideal choice for abrasive blasting, enabling tasks such as rust removal, decontamination, and achieving a matte finish.
Utilizing high-quality bauxite, anthracite, and iron filings, brown corundum is produced through arc smelting at temperatures of 2000°C or higher. After the melting process, the material is crushed, plasticized by a self-grinding machine, magnetically separated to eliminate iron content, sieved into different sizes, and results in a dense, hard texture. The product takes the form of high spherical pellets, suitable for applications in ceramic production, high-resistance abrasives, resin-based materials, grinding, polishing, sandblasting, precision casting, and high-grade refractory manufacturing.
Brown corundum abrasive stands out for its high purity, excellent crystallization, strong fluidity, low coefficient of linear expansion, and resistance to corrosion. Extensive use by numerous refractory production companies has confirmed its attributes of explosion resistance, non-chalking, and crack prevention during application. Significantly more cost-effective than traditional brown corundum, it serves as the premier aggregate and filler for fused alumina refractories.
Features:
Brown corundum is chosen for sandblasting due to its high density, resulting in reduced dust during the sandblasting process. This not only promotes operator health and safety but also enhances operator visibility.
When used under specific pressure, brown corundum can rapidly impact the object's surface with numerous sharp edges, making it an extremely efficient spray grinding method. The acceleration and velocity of particles in the airflow depend on inertance and particle size, with smaller particles being easier to accelerate and generating higher impact force on the surface. As a result, brown corundum offers a significantly faster cleaning rate, often twice as fast as other traditional abrasives.
The distinctive particle size of brown corundum ensures more effective particle contact with the object's surface, leading to a substantial reduction in abrasive loss when using brown corundum.
