Product Description

Product Description:

Brown corundum is produced using bauxite and coke (anthracite) as the primary raw materials, which are melted at high temperatures in an arc furnace. Abrasive blasting offers fast grinding, high efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and good results. The product has moderate hardness, high toughness, self-sharpening capabilities, low sand consumption, recyclability, and a smooth grinding finish. Its stable chemical composition provides wear resistance, acid and alkali resistance. The abrasive features a conchoidal structure with sharp edges and corners that continuously form new edges and corners during grinding, enhancing its grinding effectiveness over other abrasives. Its high hardness, specific gravity, chemical stability, and self-sharpening nature make it an excellent choice for abrasive blasting applications, enabling rust removal, decontamination, oxidation skin removal, and welding slag removal to achieve a matte effect.

Brown corundum is manufactured from high-quality bauxite, anthracite, and iron filings. It undergoes arc smelting at temperatures of 2000°C or higher, followed by crushing and plasticization using a self-grinding machine. Iron impurities are removed through magnetic separation, and the material is then sieved into various sizes, resulting in dense, hard spherical pellets. It is suitable for producing ceramics, high-resistance abrasives, resin and grinding applications, polishing, sandblasting, precision casting, and high-grade refractories.

Features:

Less Dust
Brown corundum is utilized for sandblasting surface treatment due to its high density, resulting in reduced dust during the sandblasting process. This not only promotes operator health and safety but also enhances operator visibility.

High Efficiency
Brown corundum, when subjected to certain pressure, can rapidly impact the object's surface with numerous sharp edges, making it a highly efficient spray grinding method. The acceleration and velocity of particles in the air flow are influenced by inertance and particle size. Smaller particles are easier to accelerate, leading to higher impact force on the object's surface, resulting in a significantly faster cleaning rate, often double that of traditional abrasives.

Low Depletion
The distinct particle size of brown corundum ensures that a greater number of effective particles can reach the object's surface, significantly reducing abrasive loss when using brown corundum.
